As the only all-sports coaches association in the world, the ACF will:
- Deal professionally with the issues of scouting and recruiting and set a standard of ethics for all member coaches and scouting professionals.
- Provide each member with a Certificate of Certification and an ID Badge in the area of athletic scouting and recruiting.
- Allow each member the opportunity to vote via e-mail on all issues involving the organization.
- Provide non-biased athlete scouting and recruiting assistance in accordance with NCAA, NAIA and NJCA guidelines, which may include individual athlete recommendations by members and a prospect video request network.
- Monitor and evaluate various scouting agencies and recruiting organizations.
- Report on recruiting issues and rule changes involving college and high school athletics.
- Provide college scholarships for high school athletes who are permanently injured or orphaned during their high school tenure and nominated by member coaches, through the use of corporate sponsorships and donations.
- Sponsor regional and national tournaments in all sports at all levels, with the cooperation of corporate sponsors, whose financial participation will minimize individual team or athlete costs.
- Post coaching clinics, combines and tournaments, and the camp statistics for individual athletes of member college and private camps on a special section of the ACF Web site, which links to other sports' sites dealing with recruiting and gets over one million "hits" per month, thus, providing members' athletes with tremendous national exposure.
- Maintain low-cost membership dues for individual coaches and scouting professionals and obtain enough financial support from corporate sponsors to cover basic operating costs and whatever programs are offered to members and their athletes, while maintaining the ACF's non-profit status.
- Approve, accredit or recommend organizations that deal with or patronize coaches and/or their players, including private scouting, fund raising, equipment, and insurance companies, and any others that provide quality service and whose credentials and reputations meet the minimum criteria established by the ACF.
- Provide a comprehensive Web site, which may include the free registering of coach recommended college athletic prospects, an information bulletin board, an e-mail network for coaches, team or association links, a coach job line, association announcements, etc.
- Convene an annual national convention for all members.
- Provide member discounts at retail outlets including hotels, sporting goods stores, golf courses, restaurants, apparel stores, etc.
