American Coaches Federation was incorporated July 15th, 2000 as a non-profit membership association for coaches and qualified sports professionals. Joseph R. Rigney was the founding director and remains as its executive director. Corporate offices are located in Alabama. Mr. Rigney has over 30 years experience in the sports scouting and recruiting business. He founded a company called “Scouting Report” in 1980, which became the oldest and largest private athletic scouting service in the world. Though retired from that business, he is still considered the foremost pioneer of this now multi-million dollar industry. ACF is not owned by, partnered with, or funded by any other organization. ACF directors and volunteers receive no salaries or monetary benefits from the Association.
